In October 2015 10 year old Kyler Bradley of Fairfield Township was diagnosed with DIPG. As our community learned through Lauren Hill, DIPG is a highly-aggressive tumor at the base of the brain that is extremely difficult to treat. This is a story of the personal strength of a little boy who believes in miracles. Kyler knows the truth about his inoperable aggressive brain tumor but refuses to give up.

After entering Children’s Hospital the first of November Kyler ended up in the ICU on a ventilator after starting a clinical study. In the hospital for 68 days praying his treatment would reduce the size of the tumor, praying for his miracle, Kyler has never given up. Rebecca Bradley, Kyler’s mother never left his side.

Friday, January 8th Kyler made the grand entrance back to his home in the Fairfield Township rescue squad along with a police escort. With this evil disease and limited time his parents are trying to give him the best quality of life. Kyler is not ticklish anymore, he doesn’t laugh, he doesn’t smile, he doesn’t talk and still on a ventilator at night. Kyler and his family are still praying and believing in a miracle.

Support is pouring in from all over the world. Kyler was declared an honorary fire chief before he went to the hospital. The department promises to always be there for him.
