Wrong way driver blamed for serious crash

On Behalf of | Nov 21, 2023 | Automobile Accident

It’s just a fact of life that accidents are going to happen. Out on today’s Ohio roadways, motor vehicle accidents can happen in the blink of an eye and completely without warning. High volumes of traffic are the norm across the state, so it often seems that taking just a short drive can be dangerous. Unfortunately, when the negligence of another driver causes a serious or fatal crash, victims and family members are left to deal with pain and suffering in the aftermath.

Accident details

Recently in Amanda Township, a three-vehicle head-on collision resulted in two people suffering serious injuries. The accident happened at night on State Route 15 west of Vanlue. According to reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, an SUV was headed east on SR 15 when the driver suddenly drove through the median and into the westbound lanes.

Reports said the SUV collided head-on with a westbound pickup truck and was then hit by a westbound semi-truck. Reportedly, the driver of the SUV was ejected from the vehicle. Authorities said the driver of the SUV and the driver of the pickup truck were both taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Legal assistance

It is impossible to predict when a tragic accident will happen. However, those in Ohio who have suffered injuries or loss due to accidents caused by the negligence of another party have the right to speak with a legal representative about their options for recourse. Damages from a successful claim could help victims and families deal with the pain and suffering that they are likely experiencing.
